#24forFosterCare

The average time a child spends in foster care is 24 months...
We can do something
Helping is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

1:

DEDICATE 24 Minutes

May is National Foster Care Awareness Month. During the  month of May, we invite you to dedicate 24 MINUTES to raise awareness for these innocent children facing difficult times.

Spend that time doing something you love: run, bike, CrossFit, swim, paint, bake, walk, make a craft with your family...anything goes.

Get your family, friends, church, neighbors, co-workers and your community involved!

Want more ideas? See step 3 for our Tool Kit.

2:

Wear Blue

Blue is the official color of Foster Care Awareness Month. Wear blue during the month of May to show your support for children in foster care.

Did you know that on average a child remains in the foster care system for 24 months?  Some shorter, some much longer.  Uncertainly.  Isolation.  How long is this feeling of disconnectedness going to last?  These are the thoughts and feelings experienced every day by thousands of children in our foster care system.  Two years is a long time!  Can you imagine our current pandemic unpredictability lasting that long? What would you do? How would you handle it? Now imagine you are a child - and you don't know if your world will ever be the same.

NOMORE exists to connect you to care for the least of these.  In honor of National Foster Care Awareness Month we are inviting you into this important campaign: #24forFosterCare. You can be a part of the solution for these sweet children caught up in these challenging situations!

And it is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Joining this 3-step movement will move your heart, move your body, move your friends, and move children one step closer to the love and support they need.
