We The Pearls is heading to Phoenix Saturday May 2nd with our partner there, 29:11 Church. This has been a long awaited and anticipated as the city of Phoenix, particularly, Tempe houses many of our team for this film. With that in mind you will see a story of redemption told about human trafficking not often heard and you will also be able to meet and ask questions from the team who helped make this film possible.
A little bit about the film:
Set in Northern Thailand we follow four stories of young people. The purpose of this documentary is not to dwell on the pain nor the darkness, but to shine a light on those who have emerged from the depths with strength and beauty. This is a story of REDEMPTION.
Our desire is that this film will serve as a platform. To connect people to the heart of God that breaks for those in bondage. To give a face to this injustice that seems impossible for many to comprehend. To educate and mobilize the church to action both locally and globally. To declare NO MORE!
Without the help of our International Missions Partners Compassionate Hope and Rescue 1 Global this project would not have been possible. Their tireless efforts to be the hands and feet of Jesus have rescued many from the bonds of slavery, bringing countless numbers to Christ, and only eternity will show all that God has and will continue to accomplish through their willingness to serve the people of Thailand.
Like the pearl, there are many men and women, girls and boys awaiting their rescue and waiting for the glimpse of ultimate redemption. And there they will remain until someone looks deep enough… will you have the courage to be their voice? Join the We the Pearls movement and help us make this possible.
